Health, Omar Souleyman and Baby Dee on Incubate festival
Many new names and campsite announced for Dutch festival in September
The Incubate festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands has announced Health, Omar Souleyman, Baby Dee and Yob will be playing the festival in September. Also confirmed are Lightning Dust, Handsome Furs, Sam Amidon, Obliteration, Capillary Action, Kongh, Dark Castle, Picastro and Antilles. The festival for independent culture will be held from September 12th to 18th in the city of Tilburg and its surrounding area. For the first time there will be a festival campsite as well.

 

Incubate has confirmed American noise rock band Health, the popular Syrian artist Omar Souleyman,  and multi instrumentalist Baby Dee for the upcoming festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands between 12th and 18th of September.  Apart from a regular show, Baby Dee will do an organ concert in a church as well. Also announced for the week program are Black Mountain side-project Lightning Dust, singer/songwriter Sam Amidon, metal band Obliteration, free-folk trio Megafaun, and black metal band Aura Noir. Incubate will take place between September 12th to 18th in the city of Tilburg and its surrounding area.

 

Also confirmed are Canadian doom act Yob next to Handsome Furs, Capillary Action, Kongh, Dark Castle, Picastro and Antilles. Furthermore there will be a concert of American dark ambient legend Lustmord and performances of psychedelic rock band Wooden Shjips, synthpoptalents Austra and composer/musician Peter Broderick, who also played with Efterklang. Last week, on May 5th, Incubate confirmed Wooden Shjips, King Dude, Screaming Females, Nadja, and Aidan Baker & Nathan Amundson. For the dance program the performance ‘It’s definitely the spiritual thing’ by Halla Ólafsdóttir and Nadja Hjorton is announced. At the moment there are over sixty artists confirmed for Incubate 2011. Over hundred-fifty names will be added to this bill in the coming months.

 

For the first time, Incubate will, by popular demand, offer a campsite. Shuttle busses will be carrying visitors between the campsite and the festival ground. Tickets for the campsite can be purchased at the Incubate website www.incubate.org.

Just like previous years, Incubate 2011 has an extensive program with music, visual arts, films and debate. This year the audience can present its own work as well. Anybody can exhibit his or her own art, radio, choreography and film through the open source programs. On www.incubate.org you can find more info on how to participate in these programs.

 

Early Bird tickets will be available until May 31th. All tickets can be bought through the website www.incubate.org.

Incubate is the annual celebration of independent culture in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
