Fields of the Nephilim headline Incubate Festival in Tilburg, Holland on September 14th

On September 14, 2012 Fields of the Nephilim will play in the 013 venue in Tilburg, the Netherlands during the Incubate festival. This was confirmed today by the organization of the festival. It is the first time since 1988 that the gothic-rock band will perform in the Netherlands. In 2012 the band, which has been releasing albums since 1986, released a live album that was recorded during two sold out shows at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. Fields of the Nephilim op Incubate festival 14 september 2012

Op 14 september 2012 speelt Fields of the Nephilim in 013, Tilburg, tijdens het Incubate festival. Dat heeft de organisatie zojuist bekendgemaakt. Het is voor het eerst sinds 1988 dat de gothic-rockband weer in Nederland optreedt. In 2012 bracht de band, die al sinds 1986 albums uitbrengt, een live-album uit, welke werd opgenomen tijdens twee uitverkochte shows in Londens Shepherds Bush Empire. Incubate genomineerd voor Nationale Evenementenprijzen

Tilburgs festival in de race voor titel ‘Leukste Stadsevenement’.

Het Tilburgse Incubate festival is genomineerd voor de Nationale Evenementenprijzen 2012. Incubate vindt sinds 2005 elk jaar in september plaats op meer dan twintig plekken door de Tilburgse binnenstad. Het festival staat bekend om de grote invloed die het publiek op de programmering heeft, en de vooruitstrevende muziek, kunst en film die er wordt gepresenteerd door vele internationale kunstenaars. Naast Incubate zijn ook ‘Klaas en Maarten pakken uit’ (Utrecht), ‘Intocht st. Nicolaas’ (Dordrecht), ‘Spooktour’ (Zoetermeer) en ‘IJsbeeldenfestival’ (Zwolle) in de race voor de titel Leukste Stadsevenement. Read the rest of this entry »

Yann Tiersen in september naar 013 voor Incubate 2012

Franse multi-instrumentalist met band op zaterdag 15 september in Tilburg

Yann Tiersen is de Franse multi-instrumentalist die bij het grote publiek bekend werd met soundtracks voor  films als ‘Le Fabuleux Destin D’Amélie Poulain’ (2001) en ‘Good Bye, Lenin!’ (2003). Vooral de herkenningstune van Amélie werd vorig jaar veel gespeeld op de 103 piano’s die tijdens Incubate door heel Tilburg in de openbare ruimte stonden. Inside Out ‘Moeders van Tilburg’: Tilburg zet zich in voor de wens van TED Prijs winnaar kunstenaar JR

Tilburgers opgeroepen om foto’s van moeders in te sturen voor groots kunstproject

Incubate is altijd al een plek geweest waar samenwerking plaatsvindt tussen publiek en kunstenaars. Daarom zal Incubate in 2012 meedoen aan het Inside Out project van JR, die in 2011 de  TED Prijs won. De kunstenaar vraagt mensen van over de hele wereld om hun fotoportret te delen samen met een uitspraak over henzelf en wil zo de wereld een mooiere plek maken. Tijdens het Incubate festival dat van 10 tot en met 16 september plaatsvindt zullen duizenden portretten van moeders in de straten van Tilburg te zien zijn. Voor Incubate is Inside Out de opvolger van het succesvolle Play Me, I’m Yours project uit 2011 waarvoor het 103 piano’s in de openlucht plaatste.

INSIDE OUT ‘Mothers of Tilburg’: Tilburg participates in artist JR’s TED Prize Wish

Call to people in Tilburg to send in pictures of their mothers for a big art project

Incubate has always been a forum for collaboration between the public and artists. That’s why in 2012 Incubate will participate in “INSIDE OUT” a project by 2011 TED Prize winner JR, inviting people around the globe to share a photo portrait along with a statement about what they stand for, and the perfect project to be carried out in Tilburg, the Netherlands as well.

Incubate stelt nog meer mensen in staat kunst in te sturen voor open expositie in Tilburg in september 2012
Incubate geeft nog meer bezoekers dit jaar de gelegenheid om op de Open Source Expo eigen kunst tentoon te stellen tijdens het festival in Tilburg op 10 tot en met 16 september 2012. In 2011 was de expositie met 113 deelnemers en duizenden bezoekers in de festivalweek zeer succesvol. Tot en met 10 juni 2012 kan iedereen zijn werk aanmelden via www.incubate.org/expo. The Strange Boys en Woody & Paul 5 april op Incubated in Tilburg

Op donderdag 5 april staan twee zomerse artiesten in Paradox te Tilburg voor de zestiende editie van de maandelijkse concertserie Incubated. Na het succes van de vorige wat donkerdere edities is het de beurt aan rammelend enthousiasme en warme roots, maar bovenal kwalitatief hoogstaand vermaak.

Buzzcocks first confirmation for Incubate 2012
