There are not many people in contemporary pop who can turn everything they touch into gold. Greg Cartwright is one of those individuals. Well, if you like thrashed gold, anyway. Starting out in the Compulsive Gamblers, he found acclaim as Greg Oblivian in the awe-inspiring fucked-up-blues/garage/rock band The Oblivians. As frontman of Reigning Sound he explores the more poppy side of fuzzed-out garage, creating gems that can leave you with tears in your eyes, as well as make you dance with joy.
