Short Films - Animation: The Monster of Nix
The Monster of Nix – Rosto AD (Short Films - Animation)
"Life is good in the idyllic fairytale village of Nix... until an all-devouring monster appears. Young Willy has to fight it. Alone."
The Monster of Nix is a 30 minute long animated musical which tells the story of Willy, a troubled boy who fights the destructive force of an all-devouring monster in the village of Nix. The dark fairy tale is as compelling and visually overwhelming as Rosto’s previous films, but this time it’s suitable for kids from 10 to 100. Rosto’s previous films have been described as hyper-intense cinematic experiences. Unconventional stories take place in an apocalyptic universe of surreal landscapes inhabited by dark alter egos. With Tom Waits, Terry Gilliam and the Residents. (2011, NL/FR, 30 min)
