Fields of the Nephilim

This English goth-rock band has been on top of the food chain since 1984. A prime example of musicians who have consistently managed to stay away from the mainstream by being uncompromising in their vision. Their sound was innovative in the gothic scene, incorporating heavy metal elements to make a hard, bass and guitar driven sound underneath Carl McCoy’s growled vocals. The band's name refers to a Biblical race of giants or angel-human hybrids, known as the Nephilim.
