The Membranes
The Membranes is a post-punk band formed in 1977. Their first release was in 1980, and over the next 11 years they would go on to release six studio albums. The band pioneered the avant-noise scene of Big Black and Sonic Youth for several years. As a celebration of both their long links with the Dutch underground, and the launch of their new single the legendary swamp-punk noiseniks, The Membranes play in Holland for the first time in over 20 years.
