About
| "One of Europe's best music and arts festivals" The Quietus, August 2011 "The musical line-up isn't self-consciously 'eclectic', but genuinely cross-genre, with very little middle-of-the-road indie. There are small spaces for local extreme noise artists and veteran improvisers; big audiences for DJs like Ben UFO and blog-buzz bands like Austra." The Quietus, October 2011 "In the closing hours of the festival, the organizers relate their burgeoning plans for 2010: "Whatever we do, we want it to be completely different." It's this straightforwardly adventurous spirit that makes Incubate a joyous, if exhausting, experience, and it's something from which UK festival organizers could learn." The Wire, December 2009 | "And with damn near every last square inch of the city littered with preamps and patch cords, that can only mean one thing: a killer lineup." Pitchfork, 2008 "In one year's time, the festival in Tilburg has grown to one of the most fun happenings for adventurous music lovers and scouts for alternative talents" OOR, 2008 "The Incubate organizers are bright, funny, hard-working people whom you might well meet in the mosh pit. [...] At Incubate, music is a vehicle of progressive culture, a way to freedom." Michael Azzerad in Zero Core, 2011 |
