Re-edited
With the Re-edited project, Incubate explores the possibilities of open source film. Whereas normal film and video consists of footage that was shot exclusively for that project, in open source film projects the raw footage is made available to all that wish to create their own version of the film.
We invited artists that are working with film and video, and made the footage that was shot at Incubate festival 2010 available for them to re-edit. These artists are free to cut, paste, add, combine, deform, hussle, so to say: re-edit, this footage as they please. Only rule being that at least 80% of the resulting film has to consist of Incubate footage.

Marleine vd Werf
Marleine van der Werf (1985) graduated in Audiovisual Design at the St Joost ard academy in Breda. Her first short work of fiction 'Euronik' was selected for the most promising youg film makers at the Dutch Shorts! Festival 2004 in Amsterdam. In 2006, after one year of travel and work in South- East Asia, she worked in Chiang Mai (Thailand) where she assisted in the research for the documentary 'Burma VJ'. (Winner of IDFA and nominated for an Oscar in 2009). In 2008 she did a directing internship with Ineke Smits for the feature film 'De Vliegenierster van Kazbek'. In the same period she was invited by the Provincie Brabant to make a film installation in Yangzou (China). In 2010 she graduated with the film 'Onbegrensd' that had it's premiere at the Nederlands Film Festival, and later was the only dutch studenfilm selected for the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam for the International Studentcompetition and the Audience Award. Besides work for commissioned films and workshops, she is developing a new documentary 'De Zetel van de Ziel' at Keydocs at the moment.
Eva Wijers
Eva Wijers is a video-artist who graduated from Breda's St Joost Academy in 2008 with the video-installation 'AlsOf' (AsIf). Since then she made several videoworks for exhibitions and recently for theatre. She's currently working on a new project called 'Coulissen' that deals with her biggest fascination: the thin edge between make-believe and reality in social situations.
