Kurt Vile leaving the band after the debut album to pursue his solo career didn’t stop The War on Drugs from growing to be one of the most interesting bands around. They sound like they're influenced by raids in the local second hand record stores for old Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen vinyl, while on the other hand spending long nights listening to Animal Collective, tipsy on red wine.
