Born and raised by his father who was also a drummer, it’s no wonder that Han began hitting everything in sight at a very young age. It is said his first percussion instrument was a kitchen chair. After coming up on the freejazz and improv music scene Han founded the Instant Composers Pool, a group of Dutch avant-garde musicians who play together on and off. He also did performances with bands like The Ex and respected jazz artists like Eugene Chadbourne, Derek Bailey and Don Cherry. Han is still known for bringing objects on stage which he found before the show so every show is unique in it’s own way.
