A “shwagy situation” resulted in changing the name from Games into their surnames, Ford & Lopatin which features a member of Brooklyn’s synthpop band Tigercity as well as the man behind the drone project Oneohtrix Point Never. Closest to Ford’s Tigercity their album was produced in Jan Hammer’s (Miami Vice Theme!) studio, which also gives their music a nice 80s feel. Their catchy, synthy electro pop instrumentation is supported by addictive vocals, also nicely drawn through a vocoder sometimes!
