Emerald is a green and not very hard stone. Not the preferred material when you want to build a city. There are, however, at least ten cities that have Emerald City as a nickname. Maybe it has something to do with other qualities this gem possesses: it is beautiful and mysterious. Those qualities can also be found in the music of An Emerald City. Melting oriental melodies with trance-like post rock structures, they create a flying carpet of sound that takes you right into a mythical Arab city.
