Eric Pasquereau, Arthur de la Grandiere, and Pierre Antoine Parois played in various projects over the years (Room 204, The Patriotic Sunday, Argument), before starting Papier Tigre in 2006. Within a year, the energy and dynamics amongst the three musicians led to the release a self-titled debut. Papier Tigre understands that intelligence and complexity need not exclude raw energy. This is art punk at its most primal.
