Incubate is the annual celebration of independent culture. Expect a diverse view on indie culture as a whole, including music, contemporary dance, film and visual arts. We bring more than 200 cutting edge artists in an intimate context to an international audience. Black metal next to free jazz. Street art next to academic dance.
Since 1978, Jandek has self-released more than 50 albums of unusual, often emotionally dissolute folk and blues songs without ever granting more than the occasional interview or providing any biographical information. Jandek often uses open and unconventional chord structures, which make Jandek’s music unique, although the lyrics closely mirror the country blues and folk traditions of East Texas. Jandek absolutely is a phenomenon and this is your chance to see him play live!
