ZXZW is the annual celebration of independent culture. Expect a diverse view on indie culture as a whole, including music, contemporary dance, film and visual arts. We bring more than 200 cutting edge artists in an intimate context to an international audience. Black metal next to free jazz. Street art next to academic dance.

You’ve also had enough of all those pretentious promo bio’s from festivals? You want to contribute to ZXZW in a nerdy way? Or is our Dutch kind of English kind of wrongish? Please create an account and help us on building this site.

Guidelines

-Wiki is objective, this one is subjective, but it uses the same principle of mass collaboration.
-Every bio is 100 words max. We’ll use it in our program guide.
- Be original with the bio’s. So no copy paste.
-Be funny, be critical, be wise, be original, but most of all: be informative.
 Not too much tech talk please! Don't use too many terms like "greatest/worst artist in the world" or"noise pioneer" or "SoundsLikeBandXWhereMostePeopleHaveNeverHeardOf".
-Please upload only relevant and copyright free material. We like pictures of your cat, but not at our site.
-Be curious!
-Be correct to the artist.

Huh?

You can be a of the first real festival community in the world. Some people say we are mad, because we let you write the bio. But we like to be as open as possible. We don’t just say you are a great crowd like those stadium rock bands. We trust you, because you are ZXZW. We are open for suggestions. We are open!

There is no copyright, so everybody can use the bio’s after the festival. But if you’re too rude we’ll have to delete your bio and ban you.
If you own the copyright on a picture/ video/ text and think we must remove it: please tell! 

How do I contribute?

Want to add or change an artist-biography, add photo's or add tags? This is a little walkthrough:

  1. Go to the GetOpenID website to signup for an account
  2. Enter all details and follow the instructions
  3. Move back to the ZXZW website and click on login
  4. Enter your GetOpenID address, e.g. 'getopenid.com/username' and click on 'Login'
  5. You're redirected to the GetOpenID page. Select 'Always' or 'Only This Time' to login to the ZXZW website
  6. You're now logged in and redirected to the 'New user-page' (firsttime use only). Enter your details, upload a photo and click on submit
  7. Now you can share your visions on an artist, upload photo's, add video's and add links to all artist-pages. You got the power!
