Psychogeography is research of daily city life through intervening in the social, artistic or technical aspects of it. Fed by artists, geeks or activists that search for expression in their surroundings. Themes are the relations between public and private space, the influence of new technology on the urban experience, and modification of advertising bombardment through billboards, posters and flyers in the current age.

The tactics are intervening into the existing situation. The result a mashup of existing and new urban media like photography, online vs. reality, knitting, city walks and the surroundings of the viewer themselves.

Psychogeography has it's roots in the art styles like situationism and dates back to the last century with traces in literature and performance art. The term was first used by Guy Debord in 1955, he called it "The study of precise laws and specefic effects of the geographical enviroment, conscious or subconsciously structured at emotion and behaviour of individuals."
