ZXZW is very proud to have the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra as their special guests. From September 15 untill 21 (except for the 19th) the Sun Ra Arkestra will be band-in-residence, performing works from a different period every other day. From Birmingham to Chicago, NYC, Philly and back.
Besides these concerts there will the "Tapestries from an Asteroid: Arkestra Art & Design 1956-1975" exhibition, a workshop, a lecture by Mark Dery, musicstudents perfoming their vision on the work of Sun Ra, Sun Ra movies and more.
