Studied Dutch and graduated in 1963 from the Dutch film academy. Apart from programming amongst others Electric Cinema in the seventies and teaching film, she made a great number of experimental films, feature films and documentaries.
Meter makes the most ‘hard core’ experimental films of the three Dutch Masters. The medium itself is an important source of inspiration. Her ‘structural’ films make you aware of the material of the volatile medium, film. At the same time, her films are very personal and poetic.
