Important group from the 70s and 80s. Wire expanded the boundaries of rock music. REM, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, The Cure and Blur have cited Wire as a major influence. The art school foursome has the talent to change and evolve. From 1977's 'Pink Flag' every release offers something different. With a new album released the band aren’t on some nostalgia trip; this is important music pushing 21st century boundaries in the same way the band changed music so radically in the 1970's.
