The unique 013 Popcentre in the heart of Tilburg isn't just a striking and outstanding building on the outside. The well known concerts, festivals and clubnights attract 230.000 visitors every year. Artists like Underworld, Robbie Williams, Nine Inch Nails, Muse, Alice Cooper, The Roots, Tool, Blondie, Kraftwerk, Manu Chao have performed at 013 since 1998. With 3 venues in one building 013 provides a stage for both international topacts as well as new talent in every popular genre! With the unique combination of a great atmosphere and alternate programming 013 is found at the top of the Dutch clubcircuit. Through the eyes of the local musician 013 is seen as a source of inspiration where he can rehearse close to his professional role-models. At least 70 bands rehearse in the basement of the building. They can display their talent at local and regional musicfestivals at the venue or record their demo in the studio.
Cul de Sac is a nice venue. It's the hangout of the ZXZW crew. Besides that it's a music cafe. They host concerts of cool and upcoming bands, organize jam sessions, you can play table football and you can dance to a nice mixture of alternative guitar music and electronic stuff.
Actualy the city of Tilburg almost doesn't have any exhibitions spaces for visual arts. So we created one. Because there was one over here. Duvelhok will be a centre for visual arts. You can check out local artist Roel Sloot, the Dutch designers from Vera and internationally known like Mark Gonzales and Shepard Fairey (Obey) in the Untitled exhibition.
Fun, food and fiŽsta! Partyclub Villa FiŽsta was opened six years ago. Since then many great artists and DJís like DJ Roog, Johan Gielen, Benny Rodrigues and DJ Jose have performed at Villla FiŽsta. But also Dutch events, cocktail nights and live music were part of the program. At big events like ĎTilburg kermisí, a big fair in the center of Tilburg, Villa FiŽsta offers a very diverse program. If you enter the club, the first thing you see is a big South American-style bar. Villa FiŽsta has room for approximately 750 persons.
