Rhys Chatham is an American composer and guitarist, best known for his combination of the minimal music esthetics of Steve Reich and the punk ethics from The Ramones. He is the major influence on his sonic contemporary Glen Branca and some people who were later known as Sonic Youth started in his ensembles. Chatham worked with the ones like Brian Eno and Steve Reich. His key piece G3, a collaboration with film maker/ visual artist Robert Longo (director of Johnny Mnemonic) will be performed together with the following artists:
